January 2009 - re:create exhibition dates confirmed
Our exhibition at re:create in Berkhamsted town centre runs from 22nd March to 19th April.
Thanks to Rose Scarborough for hosting this group show. We'll be displaying a collection of mainly new work from each of the members of AIB.

December 2008 - Art in Berkhamsted planning to show at Bucks Open Studios
We're currently scouting for suitable locations, and we'll post the full details here when we've confirmed the venue and times. Bucks Open Studios 2009 runs from 13th to 28th June.

November 2008 - Look out for dates for AIB's outing in March
We're planning another joint exhibition at Rose Scarborough's re:create in Berkhamsted in March 2009. We'll post the dates and full info when the details have been finalised.
October 2008 - AIB collaborative piece finds a new home
We're pleased to announce that Mrs Tranfield of Henel Hempsted submitted the winning bid and is the delighted new owner of the unique piece, created during our Open Studios season in September. Pictured: (l to r) Clair Muir of Swan Youth Project, Berkahmsted, Mrs Tranfield, AIB's Jenny Timms (aka Vitreus Art!).

October 2008 - AIB collaborative art ready for Lions Club Auction
During our Open Studios exhibion (called Layers and Light) we created a unique collaboration incoporating layers of photography, opalescent paint, artist's medium, stained glass, lace, paper, beads and more to produce this rather unusual picture. The piece is to be auctioned at the Lions Club fund-raising concert, in aid of the Berkhamsted Swan Youth Centre. Click on the image for a larger view.

October 2008 - Sara Wickenden exhibiting at heArt of Wilstone Show; 22nd November
You might be surprised to discover that Wilstone (near Tring) has a vibrant art scene, with two of the county's best known and respected artists living in the village. To see what's being created by Phil Madley, our very own Sara Wickenden and many others, visit this show!

October 2008 - Open Studios season draws to a close
Hundreds of visitors, 167 individual works of art, dozens of comments from people who enjoyed the show and many new friends tell us we had a good exhibition. We're now planning our next public appearance so if you'd like to be on our mailing list for new dates and events, send us an email and tell us what kind of art you like.

10th September2008 - Dacorum branch launch event kicks of this year's Open Studios season
Our own Stuart Grieve and Jenny Timms were among Berkhamsted artists taking part in the launch event on 6th September in the town centre. Members of the public were seen picking up brushes, sponges and all manner of art paraphernalia to make a 1.5m wide re-interpretation of the Open Studios graphic.

2nd September 2008 - Sara Wickenden to show a selection of new photographs
Following on from her exhibition of photographs at Ashridge Business School, Sara will be bringing to Gable Hall some of the work previously only seen in private. Visitors to the AIB exhibition will be able to see a wide range of different art media and styles - something for everyone we hope!

1st September 2008 - Stuart Grieve collaborating with local HVAF members to bring local art to shop windows and the Berkhamsted Saturday market
Look out for exciting arty activities on Saturday 6th September (the last weekend before the Open Studios season starts) in Berkhamsted. As well as public works in the making, visitors to the HVAF Dacorum market pitch on Berkhamsted High Street will be able to get more info on the season, meet some of the organisers and participate in this year's public art project.
21st August 2008 - Vitreus Art will be showing a number of new pieces at the AIB exhibition
Fresh from a trip to Cornwall to sample local art and cuisine, Jenny & Mike have been making new pieces inspired by the light and sea views that have captivated so many artists. Click on the image to see more information and larger pics.
